Calling All Smaller Indiana Bloggers: Blog for a Cause!

Hey Smoosier bloggers! You've heard about the BlogIN conference on April 26 and the pre-conference lunchtime gathering on Monument Circle, downtown Indianapolis, on April 14th at noon, but have you heard about Smaller Indiana's attempt at search engine optimization to garner high rankings for the BlogIN's designated keywords: Indiana, blog, blogging, blogger, conference, and Indianapolis?

Well, now you have, so you can join in the fun and help our cause at the same time.

Smaller Indiana is asking all of its bloggers to include some of the BlogIN's designated keywords in your blog entry titles, content, tags, and text links between now and the conference on April 26. All of these efforts are part of our attempt to boost the visibility of Smaller Indiana online and offline, because we feel this is the foremost gathering of Indiana bloggers blogging about our local community, commerce and culture.

Our keyword research shows a significant audience of people searching for phrases containing combinations of our designated keywords: Indiana, blog, blogging, blogger, conference, and Indianapolis.

With enough participation from Smoosier bloggers, we could actually gain a noticeable presence in the search engine rankings and perhaps drive significant new traffic (and more readers of your blogs) to the Smaller Indiana website as a result.

To help build visibility for the the Smaller Indiana website and the conference, and to help establish Smaller Indiana as the online place to go for the best-written blogs in Indiana, we are asking that all Smoosiers try to use a little bit of search engine optimization in their blogs, which just means using the designated keywords in the title, body, tags, and text links of your blog postings between now and the conference on April 26.

Here is an optimized link to an interesting Smaller Indiana blog about blogging. (To include an optimized text link in your blog, just highlight the keyword phrase, click the link icon at the top of the blog editor, and paste in the web address of the page to which you are linking.)

The subjects of your optimized blogs can be about almost anything, as many topics will relate to either community, commerce or culture in Indiana or Indianapolis. Please join us in our joint optimization effort to raise awareness about the incredible talent and resources available at Smaller Indiana.
