Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Hello! Well, this is my first attempt at using a blog. First off, I must say I love the concept of Smaller Indiana! Up until now I've sat back and 'observed' but now I'm ready to get involved! I'm still struggling with what exactly is the benefit of having a blog and how can I use it most effectively? So, I ask all of you what your thoughts and suggestions are?!

Next, a little about myself...I work for a wonderful organization called Sports World Ministries. I plan our board conferences and banquets as well as coordinate travel for our staff. On the other side of my position I partner with another coworker on projects such as staff support/fundraising, the website, marketing/media and edit our in-house newsletter. If you have any suggestions on ANY of the above PLEASE let me know. I'm always willing to share ideas!

Outside of the office, I am working on my Bachelors in business management, like the outdoors, and am actively involved in my church.

That's all for now, for my very first blog!

~Jennifer

Our next event- The Cypher- is June 20th in Broad Ripple. But before that we'll have a booth at Get Indy Volved at the Childrens Museum on June 18th. It'd be great if you could stop by the booth and chat!

That's no problem... when is your next straight and narrow event? I'll try to make that! Let me know! Have a great week.

Would the one off of Mass Ave (downtown) be out of your way?

Sure, Thursday the 22nd? Which Starbucks is closest to you? I could do downtown, Broad Ripple, 38th and Meridian, Fall Creek and College, somewhere on 86th...

Would Thursday at 6 work?

That's fine. Maybe we could meet at a Starbucks at 6 or so one night next week?

Malina I take that back, I don't think I can make that this Friday. What about next weekend? Or coffee sometime during the week?

Sounds like fun! I have a wedding shower to go to at 7 on the eastside of Indy. I could probably be up there a little after 9. Would that work? DId you get my message regarding my email? I'd still like to be on your newsletter list. Let me know if you need!

Tee hee, yes- actually I'll be having an event at Starbucks this Friday in Broad Ripple! It's a very casual open mic night. Starts at 8, let me know if you'd like to come and maybe we can talk there.
