If there was ever a #1 place to be to have a good time, a wedding reception surely has to be up there in the rankings. It's a celebration full of happy, well wishing people. There is often music and revelry for hours on end. Most importantly of all, at the center of the gala is a happy couple starting out their new life together.
With all of those big smiles on near-deleriously happy people is it any wonder that wedding receptions make for a great place for doing caricatures? I have a wedding reception scheduled soon where I will be set up to do caricatures per the wishes of the happy couple. Even as a worker, these are wonderfully fun gigs. Of course I absolutely love doing caricatures, so when I use the term "work" in referring to the gig there is not the slightest hint of any of the drudgery that is all too often associated with that word.
EssexArt ABC, LLC caricatures at special events are always done on paper that has been prepared for the event ahead of time to reflect the theme of the event. Wedding reception caricatures are no different in that regard. Every person at the reception that sits for a caricature will not only be taking home a likeness of themselves, but will also be leaving with a memento of the occasion which, often in these cases, includes a thank you for attending message from the bride and groom.
Weddings, receptions, reception halls, happy people in formal wear, big smiles...yep, it's a win, win, win... fun, fun, fun time.
