Five hours and counting on the help chat line...UUGGHH!!!

I actually really like chat help for many of the programs I use, but the last 12 hours have been a nightmare. I have been trying to get the Magic Jack, so I can do some work for a client of mine without using my cell phone or work phone for returned phone calls. Now our family has a ban on any product that say “As Seen on TV” because we have probably returned about 10 of these such products as defective. Now I have heard great things about Magic Jack, so I don’t know what is going on, but we have been on the phone for literally 5 hours total trying to get it to work – been through four people on the line, and now a report is being sent to management to see was it up.

I know they are trying to help, so I give them credit for hanging in there trying to figure it out, it’s just I get irritated after hours of non-billable time stuck at this computer that little things start to irritate me. Like why would they have a screen asking for such things as Magic Jack phone number and name if they are going to just ask for it again when on the chat? Also, I was asked to wait while they read through my chats – which are pretty long after hours on there, so that took about ten minutes – and then they asked to me explain the problem to them. Didn’t you just read the problem?

The way things are looking, I will not be able to use the Magic Jack to make those phone calls, but the calls still need to be made – so I guess I’ll be calling from my home phone. This should be fun – hint of sarcasm.
