Making people and ideas findable

Helping People in Job Transition is Rewarding

I have been working on helping people in Job Transition for a few years now ( on the side ) for FREE. Since I have always been a good networker, lots of people have sent me their resumes to "keep my eyes open" and other companies and clients send me job postings because I have a "good eye" for talent.

By December 2008 I had more of these emails then I could handle, but I still wanted to help as many people as possible. After being a part of SI almost since the beginning, I decided to do something. Playing around with the NING platform, I created a website dedicated to HELPING PEOPLE LOCALLY in job transition get connected to the TOOLS, and EVENTS, and the RESOURCES, and the PEOPLE right here in their own backyard.

in a short amount of time, the membership and the activity grew and today it is a thriving site. Recently I asked a bunch of FRIENDS and SMOOSIERS and RAINMAKERS to come together for an EVENT to help educate the masses and launch the event.

I hope many people turn out for this event and that the Topics Covered are delivered with as much Enthusiasm and passion as I know they will be. If anyone reading this is in Job Transition, or knows of anyone who is or will be soon, encourage them to check out the site www.catalistjobs.com and register for the event HERE on EVENTBRITE. it's FREE although we are looking to help the local food pantries and are asking for Canned food donations or a $5 suggested donation to attend... but not required.

Attached is the FLYER and the LIST OF SPEAKERS... as you can see, this will be good.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.
