Making people and ideas findable

Pat Coyle

I need your help...please take this poll...

Can you spare 60 seconds to help me?
I want to make buttons for folks to wear at the Bigger Ideas event. I'm picturing an assortment of buttons, each with one word. Each word would be loaded with personal meaning. I want people to wear the buttons which best describe what they're good at, what they're working on or what they need help with. I expect these buttons will help people start conversations with fellow attendees...each button will have one word on it...and people can combine with other buttons as they like...(hopefully, people will wear the buttons even after the event)

...but I need help. To keep costs down, I'm trying to select just 10 words to cover the spectrum. I struggled at first trying to decide if I should pick nouns or verbs...whether I should be specific, or vague...the list of words keeps getting longer and longer...you'll see the list when you click to take the poll. There's only one question on the poll. It's quick.

Please read through the list, then check off the top 3 to 5 words that speak to you...I'm looking for the words that jump out at you...words that point to your areas of strength or weakness...or things you care about...or things you need help with. If you don't see a word you like, please write one in.

The bottom line is I'm hoping to discover which words people want to talk about. If you were wearing this word (or words) on your chest, and someone approached and said, "why you wearing that particular button?" would you have an answer? Would it spark a conversation?
