Seven Things You Likely Don't Know About Me...A Short Novel

Lorraine Ball was kind enough to share 7 things about herself and then asked me to participate - sorry I got a little carried away with the commentary.

1. I was born in Benton Harbor, MI and lived in the same house in St. Joseph, MI for 18 years (my parents still live there) before I left for college at The University of Michigan (also known as "other" on Smaller Indiana). Since that time, I made up for the lack of a change in scenery by living in the following cities: Ann Arbor, MI; South Bend, IN; Jackson, MI; Lansing, MI: Chicago, IL (yes, downtown - not a suburb); Cedar Rapids, IA; Indianapolis, IN; Plymouth Meeting, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia); and then finally back to Indianapolis, IN.

2. I freakin' love to watch Baseball and always have. It started with "the Lead-off Man" and Jack Brickhouse and has carried on to adopting the Philadelphia Phillies in 2005 and enjoying their run to the title this year. I infected my family and so it's all baseball all the time in the Summer for the Wolffs! We have a goal to get to all of the major league baseball parks as a family - so far we've been to: Philly X 2(Citizens Bank and Veterans, of course); New York Yankees and Mets (now we get to do that over because both NY teams have new stadiums!); Atlanta; Tampa Bay (got two baseballs during the game!); Baltimore; Los Angeles (Dodgers). I've also been to St. Louis X 2 (old and new Busch); Arlington; Wrigley; Comisky X 2 (old and new);

3. I'm a big Country Music fan which started the day I met Jill, my wife of 14 years. She liked it so much, I thought I'd give it a try. We're big Kenny fans, love Brooks & Dunn and have seen them both in concert. Kids love it, too.

4. I'm a closet gearhead. I worked as a "Shell Answer Man" for a couple of summers in High School. My wife swears we could go into any bar and win big money by laying odds that I could "work on a car". I've put brakes on both of my cars and they both still stop. I've owned a 1969 Camaro for 23 years, fixed it up in High School and heard many 40 year olds opine that they had a car "just like that and wish they'd have never sold it", so I haven't.

5. I'm not really a professional salesman as much as I am a very passionate "connector", I like to help people get what they want/need. So it doesn't matter if we've met in a sales situation, we work together or we've met in a social setting - I live to help you get the things that matter to you most. I get a kick out of shrinking the six degrees of separation down to one.

6. My favorite vacation spot is Anna Maria Island, FL. Every year my family and I go for Spring Break. What I love most about it is the sand. There are two places in Florida with sand like "butta" - the northerly-most beach on Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key, just South (another favorite). The sand is literally like powdered sugar. I grew up very close to a beach and always hated the sand until I stepped on to these beaches - makes me want to get on a plane right now.

7. I used to sell drugs. No not THOSE drugs. The legal kind for Johnson & Johnson. My first big break in sales was provided to me by Doug Lockhart when he took a chance on a "banker" to fill his Jackson, MI sales territory. I sold drugs for allergies, toenail fungus, schizophrenia, chronic pain, anemia and gastric reflux disease. Did you know the very same "bug" that causes ringworm is also the same "bug" that causes athletes foot and jock itch - it's trichophyton rubrum. Now that's not something you get to write about every day!

OK, enough already...now it is time to pass the fun along. Just a few simple rules:
Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
Link to your original tagger(s) post and list these rules in your post.
Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs/profiles.
Let them know they’ve been tagged

My turn to tap seven people to have a little fun!
