I think it's great that social media can be leveraged to raise awareness and deliver practical help to people who need. it. Where food is concerned, however, I am torn about promoting companies who use hormones, antibiotics and other chemicals to produce cheap food that is not nutritious. From what I understand, Tyson is among the biggest offenders.
Meanwhile, our local, organic producers of veggies, eggs, beef, pork, poultry, etc are scratching by trying to offer food that is natural and good.
I would love to see SI dream up a viral campaign to raise awareness, demand and even money for local farmers.
Thanks for joining the north Indy networkers! Hopefully you can make it to the Nov 11 event from 5-7pm at the Old Town Ale House in downtown Fishers on 116th.
Hey Don, I will be up in your neck of the woods today around lunch. Do you have time for coffee or a very light lunch? Please check out the group I created today on Indy Mass Transit.
Don, I attended the Hendricks County Expo yesterday and just wanted to say thanks for being there...I got a lot out of your presentation even though I know you put it together on very short notice. Thanks for turning me on to this site also!
