Trouble Brewing at the Starbucks “Office”
Employees at 600 company-owned Starbucks stores will need to update their resumes and search for new jobs in the next year due to closings, but Starbucks management isn’t publishing a list of targeted locations. Reports say that 70 percent of the stores being closed were opened after January 1, 2006.
There are 110 Starbucks locations between Kokomo and Bloomington with the majority of them being operated around Indianapolis.
If Starbucks is your favorite meeting spot, then you may need to find an alternative in the near future. If you or someone you know works at Starbucks, then being proactive in job search readiness is best practice.

Actually, I've recently found another coffee shop, and it's NOT the Bean Cup (Doug)...and the coffee is (gulp) better than Starbucks...now if only it had a location near my home or office!

If anyone is looking for a new coffee office, check out the independent coffee map Doug Karr and I created. I rarely have meetings at Starbucks, unless the other person insists.
