Making people and ideas findable

I really like the games we play at events but it seems like there are only 3-4 of them.

They are:

name on the back
what networks are you in
write down dream connections and ask for them
pass the message

What do we have on tap for new games?

I for one, would like to see the locations pick up some of the freshmen orientation games. They could be adapted to take less time.

For example, "pitch and re-pair".

People could pair up, give elevator speeches to each other, then re-pair and sell a different person on the person they just met. This would be quick and could be repeated several times in 20 minutes. Each time would provide two speeches to each person. One from the purveyor of the business and the other via referral. It would give people practice with their speeches and also the "lesson" of "get better at selling others".

Just a thought.

Jason,

There are about 50+ documented activities already available on the Rainmakers site, with several others in circulation without official write-ups. I'm not sure why you've experienced so few; most Advisory Board Chairs attempt to rotate them to avoid such experiences.

If you're curious to learn about the other activities, they are under "Recommended Reading" in the member area.

New ideas are always welcome, though. Keep them coming!

Heather
