Bloggers Needed for Printing Partners Hoosier Storytelling Festival

Hi Everybody,

I am looking for individuals who are willing to attend a portion of the Printing Partners Hoosier Storytelling Festival, October 8 - 11th and then blog about their experience. The blogging will help us spread the word about the festival and the entire season of events. The art of storytelling is such a mystery to so many people. Here are the various performance dates and times:

1. Wednesday, October 8th, 7 - 8:30 pm at the Writers' Center of Indiana featuring Kevin Kling who is a well-known storytellers, author and his commentaries can be heard on NPR's All Things Considered. This event is free.

2. Thursday, October 9th, 7 - 8:30 p.m. at the Central Library featuring Charlotte Blake Alston and Brenda Wong Aoki. This event is free.

3. Friday, October 10th, 7 - 10 pm on the grounds of Military Park featuring Scary Stories: Disquieting, Disturbing & Dreadful. The evening begins with family friendly stories and then progressively gets scarier.

4. Saturday, October 11th, Noon - 5 pm on the grounds of Military Park, Unplug & Listen to Stories featuring a main stage for adult listeners, and children's stage as well as other stages.

5. Saturday, October 11th, 7:30 - 10:30 p.m., Indiana History Center Basile Theater, The Story Cabaret for Adults featuring the five nationally known storytellers.

The first two bloggers to respond for each event listed above will receive two comp. tickets. Contact Ellen Munds at Ellen@storytellingarts.org

I'd be happy to blog about the Storytelling Arts Festival. If you still need someone for the Friday, Oct. 10 event that would be my first choice. If that is filled, my second choice would be for Saturday, Oct. 11 during the day.

Thanks,
Karlee Moore

Hi Ellen,

I can do the #4 option, and could do #3 if you don't get anyone else.

Ellen, I hate to do this to you, but I'll be at another event while this is going on, so I'll have to bow out of that block. I'm really sorry.

Hi Erik,

I am so sorry that you won't be able to make it but I do understand.

Thanks, Ellen Munds

I will be there on Saturday during the day blogging... but give my tickets to someone who has never been, because i am pretty sure if they try it they will be hooked!

Also, note to all bloggers, I don't know if Doug has had a chance to set up site yet, but lets agree all posts should be tagged:StoryTelling-2008 so we can gather the comments like we did for Fringe. (Why 2008? Because I hope we will do this every year! )

We are getting close.. Do you have enough bloggers?

Hi Lorraine,

I don't have anyone for Saturday night. I am hoping that Kyle Lacy who won the tickets will blog about Saturday night.

Thanks for asking about it.

Hi Lorraine,

I am back in the office. I don't think any of the bloggers came through for the festival. At least I haven't seen any mention of the festival. Did you attend Saturday night? What did you think?
