Will the American Dream stop us from saving the planet?

The Indianapolis Business Book Club met today at the Indiana Humanities Council to discuss Thomas Friedman's latest book, "Hot, Flat and Crowded," which calls for a green revolution to renew America.

Friedman's ideas are compelling, but they may be impossible to implement. As we discussed the book we came to see that a shift in culture will be required in order to address our energy and climate issues. Changing culture isn't just hard. It's often impossible. We came to wonder: is the rugged individualism that defines the American Dream the very trait that will prevent us from solving our energy crisis?

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts
