Michelle,

If you want your own site and you've never done web development before, I'd recommend that you have someone set up a site for you. It can get kind of complicated. You could have someone set up a Joomla site for you and then you can log into the site and make edits yourself. This site was done that way => http://www.integralfuturing.com

I just click on the Administrator button to log in and add pages or text to the site. Hard part is customizing a template with your brand. Good thing about Joomla though, is that after initial setup costs, you can maintain the site yourself online.

Mark, please e-mail me, I can recommend someone to you if you are out of my area, and I can even refer you to someone through my company's network. Let's talk more!

Mine is www.visiondirectmarketing.com. I also have a Blogger account for my humor column, but I post work issues to the WordPress blog. Each service has its good and bad points, and I wish one would take the other's good points so I could settle on one provider.

I've got a few blogs going right now.

standonlytofall.wordpress.com is my personal blog and in an effort to reach out to different tourism entities in Indiana and help them implement "new media" initiatives on their website, I also started the Tourism Tech Corner.

I have yet to put my own blog together but I have created and manage 3 blogs for other folks:

Web2Center.com - social marketing tactics
ExtremeSportVideo.net - selling helmet cams to crazies
MEAmassageandskincare.com - this is my wife's blog (although she thinks it is just a "website") so feel free to make an appointment :)

Hi there, Matt Howell, Media Consultant at SpinWeb in Muncie, Indiana. Here are three of my Wordpress blogs:

http://www.realtelevision.net/
http://www.mwhowell.com/
http://www.solariscentral.com/

I have to say I love the improvements of WP 2.5, even though it was a little buggy at first :-)

My firm's WordPress blog is "Somerset Business Success Strategies" and is pretty new:

Howard Cox, our firm's Director of Business Consulting, is the blogger, and I administrate it. I am definitely a novice and look forward to learning from all of you.

Somehow, I was suckered into spending big bucks at TypePad, and while I still have a blog there, I'm eventually going to transfer it over to WordPress. I'm new at this one but am happy with what I've seen so far. My business blog (mostly about writing for writers) is at TypePad. But my personal journey of healing from my experiences on 9/11 is at http://greatsadness.wordpress.com.

I'm looking forward to learning all I can from this group.

I'm a new transplant from blogger... I got so frustrated with not being able to create new pages in blogger, I finally made the switch to Wordpress: espressoshots.wordpress.com (or andreaemerson.com, it all goes to the same place).

My blog focuses on business success strategies based on biblical principles.

Cheers!

Andrea

My blog is:
bfrancesi.com/blog

I'm new to web development (just CSS and HTML for now) and I bravely took on the task of trying to re-skin my blog to match my website. It's tough, but I am chugging through it, and as always it is a WIP.
