Indy Fringe, Day 7

Howdy, I'm Mac King: No, I'm Taylor Martin. Welcome to side 7. Time to learn your next few words in Roma. (Firesign Theater referrence) We got to see 2 shows last night. Stinky Flowers and The Bad Banana by Croft was amazing and wonderful. I cannot say too much for this or I'll give away a lot. Leave it to say he plays a little boy named Sinclair with a wonderful imagination. And the cookies are great. I laughed and cried; sometimes at the same time. This is a MUST see for tonight (Friday) as… Continue

Learners, Listeners, and Leaders

I am the project manager for an event called "Creating a Shared Future: Immigration and Community. A world cafe forum." that will be held on Sept 24th in Lafayette. I'm excited to be part of this planning committee. Not only have I met a great group of Do-ers in the Lafayette area, but every planning conversation we have is an enlightening one. I’ve been living in the Lafayette area for a little over a year now. I consider myself a Do-er, so even before I moved to Lafayette from Indianapolis, I… Continue

Paradigm Shift: Social Media and Time Management

It has been a pretty busy week around here at Brandswag. Projects have been piling up and there never seems to be enough time... for anything. The past 48 hours have been pretty efficient in terms of business and extremely inefficient in the realm of Social Media. I have been writing posts every day for the better part of a couple months and yesterday was the first time I have missed in awhile. Truthfully it upsets me. I thought about continuing the posts on… Continue

IndyFringe Performer Blogger -- Kondrat

Another surprising night. Another amazing acknowledgement of the power of WORD OF MOUTH. I've done quite a few shows (Shakespeare in My Room in Indy, Dear John in Bloomington) where there is a wonderful production and no one in the chairs and you cancel the show and eat the money because nobody came. This doesn't seem to be the case with ASSHOLES AND AUREOLES. We had a full house and a leap-to-the-feet standing ovation last night. Two more shows to go and Karen and Eric and I are so grateful! Er… Continue

On the Fringe of Fringe.

So what’s the point of Fringe? An opportunity to experiment and expand outside of one’s comfort zone, perhaps? Then I challenge each IndyFringer to do just that and try something that you totally weren’t planning or hoping to see, ever – a journey to the furthest extremities that Fringe can possibly offer! While I can’t guarantee the experience will be life changing, how will you know how you’ll react if you pass up your very last opportunity ever, anywhere, to see the final performance of Ph… Continue
