$100 And a Good Home

Hector is a very pretty golden/lab retriever that has outgrown his home. He is 3 years old, weighs 90 pounds, and is house broken. He has also been neutered and loves to play with people, kids, and other dogs. I picked him up from a shelter and was told he would only get to be about 50 pounds. He is looking for a great home with a large yard where he can play fetch. I am including $100 to help with food, vet expenses, etc. Let me know if you are interested.

Paul, if my husband wasn't allergic and my son traumatized by his grandparents' large golden lab, I'd bring him home in a heartbeat. Who wouldn't love that face?!?!?

Let me know if you have any friends who would like him. He is a good dog. Just too big for me to manage with my work schedule. He loves the outdoors but doesn't get much time outside.

Paul,
We have a Golden and my wife is thinking about getting another dog. Her idea is a small dog, but I will pass on the information. If I hear of anyone else looking for a dog, I will pass on your information. If you can't find anyone, you might try putting him up for adoption through the local golden retriver rescue organization, www.grrace.org. This organization does not allow the dogs to be put to sleep.

My family talked about it and we are interested. Any idea how he is with cats and how much food costs per month?

Drop a flyer to the dog park in Broad Ripple. Lots of wonderful dog owners there... such a sweet face...

Ok, cooler heads have prevailed. As much as Hector has a sweet face, I'm thinking ahead to a fall that includes soccer, cheerleading, football, soccer, swimming and realizing that poor Hector would be left too much alone...Alas, my children will be sad to know our him is not Hector's home to be.
