Ok so I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes... I just looked at the ICDC website through your link. It turns out that I looked at the site several weeks ago and learned about the fast track grants. The RAMP group is considering applying for one for the event. And I was at a function with one of the directors, Brian Payne, this weekend and mentioned it to him.

That's who I thought you were referring to. I'd be happy to sit down to go over this with you. We're trying to set up a meeting with the group. Would you be willing to meet with us if your schedule allows?

A close friend of mine is working on a project to bring a cultural district to Indy. Have you heard of the legends project? Maybe I could connect you two if you don't already know each other.

By the way, who is Steve Campbell? (You mentioned him in your note to me the other day.)

Jenny- SI is a Ball family affair... RAMP in a nutshell: we are working on taking over the Market Street Ramp a few days before it is torn down to hold an art and music festival. The art will be drawn on the bridge by chalk and paint artists. If all goes according to plan, about 150 artists will be involved. We are also working on obtaining some of the steel from the bridge to create a large sculpture to be placed somewhere downtown. The purpose of all this is to say goodbye to the bridge and to kick off the reuniting of the neighborhoods which were impacted when it was built.

Actually he would be better to ask. I'm not involved in it. It isn't my area of interest. At least not as much as he is. See you on Tuesday!

Welcome to SI! This is sort of my life outside of school. I agree with my dad, (Andrew Ball) you should definitely join the RAMP project, you might be able to be an influence in there. Enjoy being on Smaller Indiana!

Hi Jenny, What does it take for Irvington to be named a cultural district?
