Profile

How did you hear about Smaller Indiana?
Friend
What is your greatest strength?
My emotional intelligence, my ability to discern patterns, perceptions and and concepts to candidly, clearly and warmly communicate with people to help them excel at their job, improve their relationships and balance their life.
What are you working on?
Developing a coaching program to complement my existing practice as a licensed psychologist. This includes social networking extensively at various places and I am very excited about 'smaller Indiana' and Ning for this reason. This seems a much more genuine forum than typical social networks. I am truly psyched up (pardon the pun) about developing my own social network here.
How big is your business?
Self-employed
What is your Job Title
Owner
What is your Company Website?
http://www.charlesshinaveriiiphd.com
What is your Personal Website?
http://www.charlesshinaveriiiphd.com
What is your alma mater?
University of Notre Dame
Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
They need a section for other advanced degrees. (By the way, after Notre Dame, I went to Harvard for a masters in Counseling Consulting Psychology then a doctorate in Clinical Psychology...)

I am already refreshed by the tone of this network. It really seems to have more genuineness - maybe it is the central Indiana thing. Anyway, I want to network with a variety of people: generally people interested in physical health, mental health, spiritual health and overwell wellness. I am developing a life coaching program and a business coaching program. So, I am also very interested in small business owners/developers. The coaching program I am developing will focus both on life coaching and business coaching. Thanks for your time!

Dr Shinaver,

I saw that you thought about attending the Cinco de Mayo lunch. Sorry I didn't have the pleasure of meeting with you on Monday! Maybe at the 2,000th member celebration at the Rathskellar!

Glad to see that you are now a Smoosier! Have fun!

Hello, Dr. Shinaver. Thanks for your kind words about my TipTopics article. I look forward to speaking with you soon regarding your marketing communication needs and how we can help. I should be available for a discussion Friday afternoon after 3:00, or you can let me know a few times when your schedule is clear and I can call you. Probably best to email me at bob@tiptopics.com or call 1-888-GET-TIP-1 (1-888-438-8471, Extension 3). Thanks again. Have a great evening.

Good morning...as a small business, or a large business for that matter, the first thing you want to do is get out there and start networking! Chamber of Commerce organizations, Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, etc. Be prepared to be involved. Be prepared for a mixed bag of reactions. Everyone is always interested and yet at the same time somewhat cautious about being around a "head" doctor. I'm sure you know how to make people feel at ease so this shouldn't be a problem. You may want to contact your local radio and newspaper...perhaps offer to do a little "free" advice spot for them to air or print. Not much...just enough to peak the interest of those listening or reading. Have you thought of doing mini seminars? We do a little thing at one Chamber I'm involved in called "Business Over Bagels" - it's a small informal breakfast time gathering of about a half dozen business people interested in hearing what the host has to offer. There is a really good website that offers all types of marketing tips....and...I can't recall exactly what it is right now. But!...you can get to it from my website which is www.wcbk102fm.com - it's on the marketing page I think. Delete Comment
