Welcome Gavin!

Okay, this post has been delayed a bit, but I wanted to post the absolutely adorable picture of my new nephew, Gavin. For those whom I haven’t told yet, my new nephew was born last month. I took an evening to go visit him and the proud mom and dad and snapped a few pics. [...]

Okay, I’m a big nut for security on my blog, so I just upgraded my blog software to Wordpress 2.6. If you noticed my site down for a short period, that was the reason. Since this is a new update, if anyone notices any issues, feel free to contact me at johnpwooton@gmail.com and let me know.

Big Day for Apple, Frustrating for Some

So today’s the day. Apple released the new 3G iPhone. What is 3G, you might ask? 3G stands for 3rd generation. It’s a better technology that enables more efficient use of network capacity while allowing faster network access for smart phones. The new iPhone was slated to be cheaper than the original and employ the [...]

Great News for Search Marketing: Flash Websites Are Soon Going to be Search Friendly

Big news today from Adobe. They’ve announced that they are releasing technology to Google and Yahoo to enable the indexing of flash files (swf files). This effectively enables the visibility of content inside of flash files. Nothing yet is known on how the content in flash websites will compete with other websites in the search results, [...]

This almost makes me want to use ComScore…

TechCrunch had a great post yesterday regarding ComScore’s recent purchase of M:Metrics a mobile "analytics" tracker. (I say analytics because M:Metrics tracks mobile web usage the way ComScore tracks regular web statistics.) I’ve said in some of my previous posts that mobile technology is advancing to the point that it’s now easier than ever to [...]

Social Networking Ad Spending

Emarketer.com added a new article recently about ad spending in social networks. Since I just posted about social media and advertising , I thought this would be a great follow up. Emarketer had previously released projections on ad spending in which they reduced in this most recent projection saying, "Today’s economy, combined with the fact that [...]

Hi John,

Our company is currently looking for an Indianapolis area photographer to help us with a consulting assignment. We are an e-commerce company that sells apparel and accessories through a small network of online stores. The project is essentially consulting on equipment to purchase and a few hours on-site to assist with the set-up. Is this something you feel your wife Erin could help with? If so, are you or Erin available for a available for a short phone call to discuss the project in more detail?

Thanks,
Randy
