Other things My Car Doc does to try to help the local community:
during the late summer/early fall we have a school supply drive for needy kids, discounting cost of services for customers who donate;
during the fall/winter we have a coat drive, collecting hats, coats, gloves and scarves for needy families and individuals in the area, again discounting the cost of services for customers who donate.
What I'd like to eventually build up to:
raising money to help kids go to a summer camp or even day camps during the summer to help them have fun and stay out of trouble
and/or do some work with the Boys/Girls Club here in town to promote membership
the previously mentioned toy distribution plans
I don't know how or if you can help, but any bit of help, advice or networking you can throw my way would be greatly appreciated!
