Blogs tend to have higher bounce rates. It's more important for websites to have a lower bounce rate, because they want to get people in there, and keep them for a while.

One way to lower your bounces rate is to start linking to old articles. For example, refer to a previous game writeup where you mention a player's performance (i.e. If you mention Daryle Ward in one entry, link to another entry about Daryle Ward.) That way, if someone visits the link, they'll stay within the page, and won't count as a bounce.
