“A Beef and Boards Christmas 2008″

Last Saturday night, my friend Jack and I met at the Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre on the northwest side of Indy to see ”A Beef and Boards Christmas.”  The show is a family-friendly smorgasbord of Christmas music, both secular and religious, enhanced by fun choreography, make-you-groan jokes, and a touch of patriotism. I overheard a young [...]

“This Wonderful Life” at the IRT

Last Friday night I fought my way through crazy, Monument Circle tree-lighting traffic (and Pacers traffic and some kind of high school football traffic) to the Upperstage of the Indiana Repertory Theatre to meet my friend Chris for the opening night of “This Wonderful Life.”  I even paid $11 for valet parking. It was SO worth [...]

My Christmas (Show) Wish List

Due to a debillitating cold, I missed NewKey’s production of “Greater Tuna.”  It was the first show at the Indy Fringe Festival’s new space.  Drat!  Now I’m more-or-less healthy again, but due to lack of time, I still won’t be able to see everything I want to see in what’s left of 2008.   Here [...]

Thank You, Readers!

I am thankful for many reasons on this Thanksgiving Day.  One of the many reasons is that this blog is now a big part of my life.  I have managed to keep it going for almost a year now.  According to my web hosting provider, my blog had 4688 unique visitors and 91,979 hits last [...]

Liz Warren’s List of Differences Between Storytelling and Theatre

I’ve been updating my syllabus for the graduate-level class on storytelling that I will teach for the Indiana University School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) on the Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus next semester.  I am excited because five students have already signed up.  I’m sure the university would like there to be more than five students [...]

Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
I met some bloggers that I liked very much at the 2008 Blog Indiana conference. They encouraged me to join Smaller Indiana, especially since I love attending and writing about the Indy Fringe Festival. I hope to get the word out about my own theatre reviews blog, and to meet some new people, maybe make a new friend or two.

To make your blog show up on the sidebar its easy - I think there is a little tab there that you can click and paste in your blog's URL. But to make your blog posts show up in the main content area of your profile - that I think you just have to repost manually. ARG! Let me know if you can get that sidebar tab to work.

Hope,
I thought all of your pictures were marvelous. The thing I hear most about Julie's photography is that she makes people feel at ease during the photo session. You are very photogenic and Julie said she had a really good time during your shoot.
