Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?: I think we need to shrink the world a little and reconnect with the things that are close to us. These social networks where some woman from Texas meets a dude in New Zealand and marries him creep me out. Strawberries from China creep me out. Outsourcing to foreign nations and having to talk to someone halfway around the world when I need customer service. . . . creepy. I want to know my neighbors.

There is an initiative that 70 co-ops across the nation are participating in this summer, encouraging our communities to eat more local foods. I am excited to be leading up the project for Bloomingfoods, here in Bloomington. The challenge is honor based - but we hope to hear a lot of stories from our staff and customers about why they eat local and what some of their favorite meals are. At 9:46am on June 11th, 2008, Erin Edds said…: Did you find anything out for me? Even a contact person would be fine. My sister was the inside sales manager at Traderspoint Creamery until recently. I'm not sure who her contact was, but I could ask. We continue to have more stores express interest in retailing our products but I want to make sure we hit the stores we really WANT to represent us, before just letting a store carry us.
