Hi Brian, I listened to your podcast today about "Selling Your Way to the White House." I think your comment on speechwriting was not quite on the mark, at least as it referred to John McCain. As you already said, no candidate worth his salt will write his own speeches, because they can't write them. That's why they hire professional writers.

However -- and I say this as someone who is NOT a McCain fan -- I think McCain's speechwriter was pretty on the mark with his New Hampshire speech. McCain is known for saying what's on his mind and in his heart. His speechwriter, as any good speechwriter will do, understands his delivery style, speaking style, and even word choice. A good speechwriter can write a speech that sounds like the candidate dictated it word for word. McCain's speech in NH was spot on, and I think DID meet the criteria for saying what was on his moment at that exact moment.

Good podcast otherwise though.

Hi Bryan,

I listen to you and Bill on your podcast each week. I tried several sales podcasts, but discarded them all, and stuck with the Advanced Selling podcast exclusively. You guys do a great job.
